FAQs

Why is it so important to repair or replace my windshield?

Your windshield contributes to nearly 30% of your vehicle's structural integrity, making it a crucial component in protecting you during a rollover or front-end collision. It also plays a key role in ensuring airbags deploy correctly, safeguarding your passengers.

A properly installed windshield is essential for maintaining your vehicle’s structural strength and ensuring your safety on the road. Don’t underestimate its importance—your well-being could depend on it.

How do I know if my windshield needs to get repaired or replaced?

If the damage to your windshield is smaller than a loonie ($1 coin), located outside the driver’s line of vision, and at least 4 cm away from the edge, it’s likely repairable.

However, if the damage includes more than three impact points, a crack larger than a loonie, is within the driver’s line of vision, or is less than 4 cm from the edge, we highly recommend a full windshield replacement.

How long does a windshield repair or replacement take?

Repairs can often be completed in less than an hour. Replacements, meanwhile, are done in 3 hours including the camera recalibration process.

Why is the location of the crack/chip on my windshield important?

The location of the damage plays a key role in determining whether a repair or replacement is needed. If the damage is in the driver’s line of vision, repairs might be possible, but replacing the windshield is often the safer choice to ensure clear visibility. Additionally, if the impact is too close to the edge of the windshield, repair equipment cannot be used effectively, making replacement the only viable option.

What if I have more than one impact points on my windshield?

We can repair up to three (3) impact points. If your windshield has more than three, its strength is likely compromised, and, therefore, we recommend replacing it for your safety.

Where do I find my Vehicle identification Number (VIN)

Your VIN is the 17-character alphanumeric code corresponding to your vehicle’s serial number. You can find it in one of four places:

- On your insurance certificate

- On your car registration

- In the lower corner of your windshield

- Inside your driver’s side door.
